Behavioural economics or behavioural science is one of my strands of research.  A small part of this concerns the much-hyped unconscious bias.

There has been criticism of unconscious bias training and its lack of application in the workplace.

I would seek to explain this by suggesting it has mostly been delivered by teachers with a background in HR, as opposed to behavioural economics. Akin to delivering ‘A’ level maths, for example, without the underpinning knowledge of GCSE maths.

But hey, I don’t need to explain this to you because you’ve already made up your own mind… whether you realise it or not!
